BioMEMS - BioMEMS (Biomedical or Biological Micro-Electro-Meachnical System) can be defined as devices or systems using techinques inspired from micro/nano-scale fabrication that are used for processing, delivery, manipulation, analysis, or construction of biological or chemical entities.

Micro - Micro is a SI prefix in the SI system of units denoting a factor of 10−6 (one millionth). The symbol for it is the micro sign (µ).
